In this Coen brother's satire screwball comedy set in 1958, we see Paul Newman as Sidney J. Mussburger a greedy executive who hopes to take control of the company he works for. He recruits naive graduate Norville Barnes (Tim Robbins) to be the corporate scapegoat, but when Norville's invention becomes a hit and brassy reporter Amy Archer (Jennifer Jason Leigh) uncovers Sidney's scheme, his plan quickly unravels.
